For consumers not tied to the corporate network, you can sync up to 10 different POP3 or IMAP4 e-mail accounts via BlackBerry Internet Service. You can also use a free but limited version of BES with which you can sync your Exchange calendar, contacts, and tasks. Just keep in mind that the Curve 9370 is locked into Verizon's network while in the U.S., and you will not be able to use the phone with a GSM SIM card until you cross national borders.īlackBerry continues to beat the corporate e-mail drum with support for all sorts of systems and services, including BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino, and Novell GroupWise. Sure, the T-Mobile version of the device (the 9360) doesn't need it, since it already rides the GSM SIM card technology, but the slot is something that the Sprint version (the 9350) lacks. The Curve 9730 does offer one feature unique to RIM's updated Curve series, and that's an extra SIM card slot that makes the phone global-ready. The Curve 9360 also supports GPS and Bluetooth, and uses Microsoft's Bing search service by default. For more details on BlackBerry 7 OS, read CNET's BlackBerry Torch 9810 review. I wasn't able to test NFC with this review device, but now that NFC is beginning to permeate stores thanks to Google Wallet, it's good to see RIM ready. You can also use NFC to pair accessories and read SmartPoster tags. Theoretically, NFC allows you to purchase goods or services by swiping your phone over a compatible payment system device, or to transfer files by touching phones thanks to applications like BlackBerry Tag. By now, you may well be familiar with the improved graphics processor, full Web browser with a just-in-time JavaScript compiler and full HTML 5 support, augmented-reality application support, and voice-activated universal search.Īnother nice feature added courtesy of BlackBerry 7 OS is NFC, or near-field communication. True, the user interface hasn't changed much from BlackBerry 6 OS-it still has directory-based home screens and collapsible notification trays. The camera lens and LED flash are on the back.Ī lot of what sets the Curve 9370 apart from its predecessor is BlackBerry 7 OS. Gone are the media keys at the top-now there is a 3.5mm headset jack, with a screen-lock key right beside it. Both are molded from the same strip of plastic and protrude from the phone in sharp, overly narrow mounds that dig into your fingers when you press them. On the left spine is the Micro-USB charging port, while the right spine is home to a very skinny volume rocker and a similarly slim customizable shortcut key. It's high time you met the phone's other externals. Pop off the back cover to reveal the SIM card holder capable of connecting the Curve 9370 in GSM territories outside the U.S. While I didn't mind it, my own hands being fairly small, to me the Curve 9370's keyboard has lost its edge. I will say that the keys are a little plasticky and toylike, and less distinctive than on other BlackBerry models. Yet, because the keys are separated and raised, typing posed no problem. The keys are a hair larger and rounder than on previous models, though the overall keyboard is still quite small compared with the Bold's. The optical touch pad is the same as on the other QWERTY BlackBerrys-easy to use, and you can navigate and select items with precision.īeneath the array is the famous Curve keyboard, but a little different than you might remember it. The keys are not touch-sensitive, and it takes a bit of pressure to push them. It's essentially the same navigation array we saw on the previous Curve, consisting of the Send, Menu, Back, and End/Power keys, with that optical touch pad smack-dab in the middle. The button in question is the optical touch pad that sits directly below the Curve's display. Surely, at this point in the smartphone game, phone owners deserve a choice as to whether they want to punch a screen or a button. In that sense, it feels behind the times. On the other hand, the Curve 9370 and its nearly identical siblings are among the only smartphones today that actually lack touch-screen capabilities. On one hand, the display is small enough that using a touch screen would frustrate, and besides, the optical touch pad does just fine for navigation. I'm on the fence when it comes to the Curve's non-touch-sensitive screen.

Earnings are paid to students via biweekly paychecks, based on hours worked in each pay period and are intended to assist with personal expenses. Students should not anticipate using work-study earnings to pay the College for expenses like tuition and fees or room and board charges. Must remain enrolled full-time each semester. On an appeal basis, federal student aid can be made available for up to 150% of that timeframe or 6-years. Scripps Aid is limited to 8-semesters in which to complete one degree. Successfully complete 67% of the courses attempted cumulatively at time of assessment. While there is no minimum GPA requirement, competitive candidates for admission pursue the most demanding coursework possible and receive strong grades. Maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale). Students must maintain Scripps’ Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) for Financial Aid and Scholarship Recipients as outlined in detail in the Scripps College Course Catalog. Scripps encourages you to review these guidelines and contact their office with questions. Students must submit a FAFSA each year and any documents required for federal verification such as tax returns, W-2’s, and Non-Tax-Filing Statements. Requirements Associated with Maintaining this Award This suggests that successful applicants to Scripps College have A grades primarily. GPA In 2019, the mean high school GPA for Scripps College’s class was 4.12. Students are generally expected to cover their transportation and personal expenses from summer/academic year employment and/or savings. The median 50 of students admitted to Scripps received a cumulative ACT score between 30 and 33, while 25 scored over 33, and 25 scored under 30. Transportation cost estimates vary by student based on the geographic location of their permanent residence.Ī minimum student contribution of $1,700 is expected from summer employment or savings. If the student is not covered by a parental plan, the student may request that the Scripps Grant be increased to cover the cost of a Scripps Student Health Insurance Plan premium. Scripps requires all students to have health insurance, either through their parents or another plan. Eligibility for federal and state grants will reduce your Scripps College Grants and Scholarship. If the total of your outside funding exceeds your self-help awards and student contribution, Scripps may be required to reduce other forms of aid including Scripps College Grants and QuestBridge Scholarships. Following the reduction of self-help aid, we will also allow outside funding to help cover your minimum student contribution. Institutional policy states that outside scholarship funding will first replace the student’s self-help (loans and/or work study) awards where available, thus reducing the amount a student may need to borrow or work. Amounts will change slightly from year to year, but as the cost of college increases, the scholarship packages will correspondingly increase. These numbers are based on estimated costs for the 2022-2023 school year. National College Match Scholarship Package This build still functions just fine in position 3 if you have a beefier frontliner you want in 2. Use Duelist's Advance only if you're sure you won't need to hit positions 3 or 4 on your next turn. Put the Highwayman in position 1 or 2 depending on whether you want to open with Point-blank, and just use whichever attack is best on a given turn. Generic Highwayman: Wicked Slice or Open Vein / Pistol Shot / Duelist's Advance / Point-blank Shot Open Vein unfortunately only hits 1 and 2, so it doesn't provide any better position coverage than Wicked Slice.Tracking shot applies a strong buff, but is otherwise a waste of a turn.Grapeshot's damage can be buffed pretty high, but is still unlikely to kill anything without assistance.Duelist's Advance can hit all 4 enemy positions at a smaller damage penalty than Pistol Shot.Point-blank Shot is harder to chain than Lunge, because there are more skills that move heroes forward than backward.Pistol Shot is basically a worse version of Graverobber's Thrown Dagger.-15% on Open Vein, when compared to Wicked Slice, is similar to the -35% between Hellion's Wicked Hack and If it Bleeds. It also means that the damage penalties on his other skills are comparatively bigger drawbacks. The +15% makes the Highwayman's basic attack on par with Crusader and Hellion.Builds that shift position require parties to be built to accommodate them.Grapeshot and Tracking shot kind of suck.Ambush prevention plus a buff eats up camping time.Has difficulty with high-PROT frontliners.Medium crit rate (same as the graverobber, actually). The same build can fill multiple positions. Functions well in positions 2 and 3, isn't completely useless in 1 or 4. Gallows Humor means +stress trinkets are less of a drawback. Two strong buffs on his camping skills.9-16 puts him behind only Leper, Crusader, Hellion, and Abomination (kind of cheating to count him), and he's actually tied with or better than Crusader/Hellion because Wicked Slice has +15% damage while Crusader and Hellion's basic attacks have +0. Welcome to the official subreddit for the games Darkest Dungeon 1 & 2!ĭarkest Dungeon is available for PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, PSVita, iPad and Nintendo Switch! You can then consider if the matches look the same or very similar. If not, you can try a Google image search by Manufacturer, Model and Year of frame. To help in this regard, we have supplied an image where possible. It's sometimes difficult selecting the correct year bearing kit. The bike remains in bits whilst waiting for your fresh new bearings. Quite often, you might need to strip the frame down to access the bearings to discover what you need. Ordering a bearing kit in advance of working on your frame has it's advantages in that it saves time and/or hassle. Alternatively trade customers can consider stocking our frame pivot bearing workshop boxes which covers main part numbers. If you do not need a full set of bearings and know what codes you need as you may only be changing main pivot bearings for instance, then you can order separate bearings as necessary. It costs slightly less to buy a full kit than to purchse the separate bearings. There will ultimately be an option within the listing to purchase a full set of Enduro Bearings. This is due to some custom bearings used on frames which only Enduro produce. The bearings supplied will usually be ALL our own 'Kinetic Bearings', although occasionally contain a mixture of our own and Enduro Bearings. We buy from suppliers that also produce and supply to many highly regarded premium bicycle brands. We supply 100's of bicycle trade customers directly as our bearings are the same as many bearings fitted to bikes at factory level (Original Equipment). You can be rest assured that our bearings are of fantastic quality and produced specifically for bicycle application. Suppliers that do not mention the ABEC rating, it could be safe to assume are supplying inferior/cheap/unrated or low rated bearings. Kinetic in almost every case supplies ABEC 3 rated bearings. Higher end bearings for bikes are usually ABEC 3. The ABEC rating for bearings commences at ABEC 1 which is seen in most bearing applications for bicycles supplied from the factory. The precision quality of bearings are rated by the ABEC scale. The seals are usually 2 high quality rubber seals, which is where the 2RS is derived from. The bearings (Kinetic's own and also Enduro) will be filled with the correct volume of high-performance water resistant marine grease to prolong the life of your bearing. Note, standard wheel bearings have a metal or nylon retainer with gaps in between, which is perfect for wheels/BB's where full rotation occurs. Non-MAX bearings are usually cheaper too. If a supplier selling frame pivot bearings fails to mention they supply MAX complement, it's very probable they are bearings that contain retainers and therefore cannot withstand higher loads often experienced in suspension frames. To achieve this, the races are fully loaded with balls to ensure that the load passes through actual balls and not gaps. A Frame Pivot Bearing experiences only a minor degree of movement concentrated in a small area, thus strength across the axis of load is of the utmost importance. Max type bearings can take a much higher load as they have 40% more balls than standard wheel bearings. Max Complement (Also known as Full Complement)Īt Kinetic we only supply Max Complement bearings for frame suspension pivots (where available). Grease: Mobil XHP222 or Sinopec HTHS (High Specification Water Resistant Grease) Material: 100CR6 Chrome Steel for balls and races No other hardware such as nuts, bolts, washers will be supplied.Īny pictures indicated in this listing is for reference to the year/design of frame in question.Ĭonfiguration: MAX Complement where available (Fully loaded with ball bearings - no cage/retainer present) IMPORTANT: This listing is for a full set of Frame Pivot Bearings only. Because progression of LA remodeling due to prolonged presence of MR is associated with worse outcomes, including increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality ( 23– 26), timing of surgical intervention is crucial to avoid severe LA remodeling.Ĭurrently, the indication and timing for MVR in these patients is mainly based on severity of MR and the presence of symptoms or left ventricular dysfunction (end systolic dimension ≥ 4.0 cm or left ventricular ejection fraction ≤ 60%) ( 27). In current clinical practice, mitral valve repair (MVR) surgery is the ultimate treatment for primary MR ( 21, 22). This may be important, since presence and distribution of LA fibrosis in primary MR patients may have clinical implications for patient-specific treatment strategies. Extent and geometric distribution of LA fibrosis can be assessed using advanced post-processing tools, allowing to study LA fibrosis in primary MR patients on a routine base. In the last decade, high spatial resolution 3-dimensional (3D) late gadolinium enhanced (LGE) cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging has emerged as a noninvasive tool for the visualization and quantification of LA fibrosis ( 18– 20). Several studies have suggested that LA fibrosis may also be present in MR patients, but its role and consequences remain yet to be determined ( 1, 2, 11, 14– 17). In addition, presence and amount of LA fibrosis was found to be a strong predictor for arrhythmic treatment efficacy and long-term outcome in patients suffering from AF ( 12, 13). In different categories of patients without primary MR, it has been demonstrated that the presence of atrial fibrosis is associated with an increased risk of adverse events including atrial fibrillation (AF), stroke, heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, reduced quality of life and eventually a shorter life expectancy ( 8– 11). Our results may contribute to improved clinical decision making and patient-specific treatment strategies in patients suffering from MR. Implications: This study will provide novel insights into the pathophysiological mechanism of fibrotic and volumetric atrial (reversed) remodeling in MR patients undergoing MVR surgery. The primary objective of the ALIVE trial is to assess the extent and geometric distribution of LA fibrosis in MR patients and to determine effects of MVR surgery on reversed atrial remodelling. In total, 20 participants will undergo a CMR scan including 3D late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) imaging 2 week prior to MVR surgery and at 3 months follow-up. Methods: The ALIVE trial is a single center, prospective pilot study investigating LA fibrosis in patients suffering from MR in the absence of AF (identifier NCT05345730). Therefore, the ALIVE trial was designed to investigate the presence of LA remodeling including LA fibrosis in MR patients prior to and after mitral valve repair (MVR) surgery. Literature on the presence and extent of LA fibrosis in MR patients however, is scarce and its clinical implications remain unknown. LA fibrosis is considered to be a key player in the LA remodeling process, as observed in atrial fibrillation (AF) patients. 6Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Leiden University Medical Center, Rotterdam, Netherlandsīackground: Patients with mitral regurgitation (MR) commonly suffer from left atrial (LA) remodeling.

With this in mind, the posing will likely be more rigid with the band members standing in a crescent formation due to the ritualistic nature. Say that a five-piece, all-female symphonic metal band approaches you, with a melancholy and dark sound, whose story revolves around pagan rituals. Here is an example of how these three questions can drive a photo shoot. What is the story the band wants to convey with their presence?.Music and imagery tie together, and whatever image is evoked by the sound is one that you should likely follow). What image does the music evoke? (I find that closing my eyes and listening to some of the key songs pointed out by the band can provide a lot of inspiration. What is the stereotypical image for that genre? (This being said, the image does not have to be stereotypical – but there are some specific poses to include if you want to really push on the fact that the band plays a specific type of music).Much of how I figure out how to pose bands has to do with three key factors: For example, metal music has a much darker, harder, and tougher edge to it than, say, a girl pop band. Doubling back to the idea that a photograph of a band needs to sell their music, the genre portrayal can be a fundamental part of that goal. The genre of music can impact every facet of the image, but not necessarily. To make this even more complex, the audience members have to develop the right preconceived idea of what the music will sound like based on the picture! This is the same principle that is applied to album artwork. The poses, styling, arrangement, lighting, and everything in between is akin to the marketing of the music group itself. Though all types of photographs tell a story, band photography has to sell both the image and idea of the band. How does band photography differ from, say, a group portrait at a sports game or a family reunion? Well, the short answer is – the intent is different. I hear this question a lot in my line of work. So before you find yourself having a crisis – unsure of how to properly get bands set up for their epic promotional shoot – check out your guide to posing bands in photography! How is band photography different from other group photography? Getting your favorite band into your photo studio might sound like a dream come true – but could quickly turn into a disaster if you don’t know what you’re doing! Not all bands know how to pose or position themselves for photographs, and it’s your job as a photographer to direct them. They aren’t the end-all be-all, but I would have still liked to see crypt audited to be able to recommend it with more confidence. I understand that external audits are expensive, and that they only apply to a specific point in time. Rclone also has a config file with all of its configuration that you can copy to another system so you don’t have to set everything up every time. It has many other applications and can be used for other things, such as organizing and peforming routine cloud backups with the Bitwarden CLI. This can be set up to be automated and done periodically with a shell script, for example. My personal workflow consists of having a Cryptomator vault which I Rclone to multiple cloud providers (Drive, Dropbox, MEGA etc) simultaneously. While Rclone can be used as both a cloud end-to-end encryption and sync tool (and a very lightweight and minimal one at that), it pairs very well with Cryptomator for cloud syncing. However, most people use and rely on Termux for using Rclone on Android which I believe is currently the most efficient and practical solution. RCX is indeed a good Android app for it, but it’s in early development and development on it has clearly stagnated. Nothing too in-depth and just through a quick search and glance I found a post from a few years ago which sheds some light on this ( Is/was a security auditing procedure in place for crypt? - #10 by ncw - Help and Support - rclone forum) and maybe someone else who has done a lot more research can weigh in. Unless I’m mistaken, I don’t think it’s been externally audited yet. I’m happy to hear other people’s thoughts on this, as well as more info on the project and reasons as to why we should consider it or evaluate it further. Now, Android support isn’t necessarily required for us to consider Rclone, but I believe that’s always good to have proper cross-platform support nowadays. It may not be fully stable and contain bugs or untested features. This app is currently undergoing many changes. Is Rclone, or at least the encryption implementation audited?Īlso, this largely seems to be a desktop solution, with Android support being centered around rooted devices, which we heavily recommend against.Īfter digging a little bit further, I found RCX which looked promising initially, but it hasn’t received an update in over a year, and is on SDK 29 right now.įurther research led me to extRact which seems to be a fork of RCX to maintain it however, it doesn’t seem like it’s something that’s currently production-ready. What I find especially interesting and relevant to our audience is the ability to encrypt data before it’s sent to the cloud. Hi, thank you for opening a dedicated thread for this, and for outlining your thoughts!Īfter taking another glance at this, I can definitely see how it is useful. D., around the time of Jerusalem’s sacking by the Roman army, the coin was roughly equal with the Greek drachma at 1/96 of a Roman pound. This debasement of the currency gradually changed the purity of the coin. Roman emperors would change the Silver content of denarii over time and take the extra Silver to finance various programs. The one constant trend with the denarius was debasement. A later reduction took place to reduce it to 96 denarii in a Roman pound - many believe this took place in the reign of Nero, but this is not entirely certain. The early Roman Empire standard was 1/84 of a Roman pound, as noted in Pliny the Elder’s Natural History. Originally these coins were equal to 1/72 of a Roman pound. There was a slight variation in weight between each coin. The total of each batch had to come out equal to a pound, but each coin was not held to a specific weight. The coin was not established to a set weight for each coin, but rather a set number in each Roman pound. The better-known denarius was created in a revamp of coinage, which happened around 211 B.C. The denarii prototypes were probably the “quadrigati,” Silver coins with a Roman four-horse chariot on the reverse. This was a reference to its original exchange rate. The name “denarius” came from “deni,” which meant 10. Ten bronze asses (an aes grave with the image of Janus) made up a denarius once the denomination was established, though due to the rarity of Silver, that ratio was adjusted to 16 asses several years later, around 145 B.C. Silver coins from Greece slowly filtered into the Roman Republic, and Rome eventually created their own version. These coins were cast and could be manufactured in bulk, but they were too cumbersome for regular commerce and needed to be replaced with something of higher value. Originally the Roman Republic used bronze or lead ingots for their currency, Traditional Roman coins had been bronze and were known as aes grave, or “heavy bronze”. The denarius marked a change in Roman coinage, brought about by commerce with Greece. Its rise and decline are similar to what we see with many modern currencies, and its legacy still reverberates today. In the late Roman Republic through the early days of the Roman Empire, the denarius was the daily wage for laborers and regular legionaries. Struck continuously through the golden age of the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire, the coin was one of the most commonly circulated in its time. |
